The 1984 Suite makes its vinyl debut
in newly commissioned, Mike Oldfield-approved artwork by designer Rupert
Lloyd of Diablo Pixels. Again on 180gm, this is a true treat for Oldfield fans
When Mike Oldfield looked to mix the
Discovery album and The Killing Fields into 5.1, he found himself drawn to
certain elements of his work that year, and devised a mix that incorporated
material from both albums, plus a couple of surprises - the B-side 'Afghan'
became 'The Royal Mile' and the Discovery album track 'Poison Arrows'
mutated into 'Zombies', a chilling tale complete with Oldfield intoning his
lyrics through a voicebox.
